PROGRAM DETAILS

Clinical 1: A 3‐Day Live Intensive

(24 CE Hours)

During this Clinical 1 participants will begin the process of integrating the basic principles and techniques of the WBV. This will include what most consider a paradigm shift with regards to their professional practice and personal well being. During this 3 day workshop each participant will either be practicing hands-on technique or receiving from their class partners. There will be ample one-on-one guidance from instructional staff for each participant. Areas to be addressed during this 3 day class: Why are there so many neuromuscular injuries? 1- The Origin of Neuromuscular Dysfunction (Interactive Discussion & Demonstration) Students will be encouraged to speak to those areas in their own neuromuscular body they would like to address during class. How does the body know how to self regulate and self heal? 2- WBV uses current neuroscience as it relates to “WBV Brain Mapping” and in general the bodywork profession. (Interactive Discussion/ Demonstration) How is the body designed to move safely and efficiently? 3- “Functional Movement & Balance” (FMB): movement protocols for lower extremities, pelvis and low back (Interactive Discussion/ Demonstration & Self Care Practice) Is it possible to achieve greater therapeutic depth with my clients and take care of myself at the same time? 4- “WBV Brain Mapping”: Basic hands-on technique integrated into a flow through session in the supine position. We will begin the process of incorporating WBV hand use and body mechanics. (Demonstration & Student Practice Sessions) 5- Two Supervised Practice Days (SPD) All concepts, material and techniques will be reviewed and practiced during the two SPDs in order to develop additional skill. These sessions will be scheduled in the two months prior to the each Clinical Intensive. The SPDs will be held virtually. This minimizes travel without compromising the individual student/ instructor attention, interaction, and effectiveness.

Clinical 3: A 3‐Day Live Intensive

(24 CE Hours)

The Clinical 3 will review a full body session both in the supine and prone positions. Throughout this entire program there is a continual layering and integration of additional technique and depth. Clinical 3 focuses on the following: What have you been experiencing during your WBV practice sessions? What are your growing edges? 1- What is the purpose of our profession? (Interactive Discussion) (Students to speak to their practice and receiving experiences along with their client’s feedback) How do we communicate with our biological functional intelligence more effectively? 2- The Human body is much more intelligent and functional than we are cognitively. We communicate with this superior part of ourselves through the universal human language, touch and movement. Understanding and becoming fluent in the language of touch/ movement allows us to access a greater degree of human intelligence. Learning to defer to that intelligence is the height of human consciousness. (Interactive Discussion, Demonstration & Practice) How do we, as neuromuscular therapists, help our clients take better care of themselves? 3- Functional Movement & Balance Protocols: Guiding your clients, both hands-on and verbally, in self care movement. (Demonstration & Client Self-Care Practice) What does a complete WBV flow through session look like? And, how long does it usually take? 4- WBV Brain Mapping Techniques: A complete hands-on flow through session in the supine & prone positions. (Demonstration & Student Practice Session) 5- Two Supervised Practice Days All concepts, material and techniques will be reviewed and practiced during the two SPDs in order to develop additional skill. These sessions will be scheduled in the two months prior to the each Clinical Intensive. The SPDs will be held virtually. This minimizes travel without compromising the individual student/ instructor attention, interaction, and effectiveness.

Clinical 5: A 3‐Day Live Intensive

(24 CE Hours)

Clinical 5 will introduce FMB classes for groups. During this segment you will begin to develop your language, style and overall approach. Working in Functional Movement & Balance classes allows you to help more people at once as well as developing a pool of potential one-on-one clients for your hands-on practice. Clinical 5 focuses on the following: What have you been experiencing during your practice sessions? What are your growing edges? 1- What is the deepest purpose of your practice and our profession in general? Students to speak to their practice and receiving experiences along with client feedback (Interactive Discussion) Physiologically speaking, how do we develop a more skilled approach while interacting with our client’s biological intelligence? 2- The Human body is much more intelligent and functional than we are cognitively. Methods for accessing that self healing intelligence more routinely. (Interactive Discussion) Why is it important for our clients and ourselves to practice FMB consistently? 3- Functional Movement& Balance Protocols: Guiding our clients in self care movement protocols. Conducting classes leading groups of people in Movement & Balance protocols (Demonstration & Client Self-Care Practice) How do I become more effective maintaining a timed structure of my WBV sessions? 4- WBV Brain Mapping Techniques: A complete guided movement and hands-on flow through session in the supine & prone and side-lying positions (Demonstration & Student Practice Session) 5- Two Supervised Practice Days All concepts, material and techniques will be reviewed and practiced during the two SPDs in order to develop additional skill. These sessions will be scheduled in the two months prior to the each Clinical Intensive. The SPDs will be held virtually. This minimizes travel without compromising the individual student/ instructor attention, interaction, and effectiveness.

Clinical 2: A 3‐Day Live Intensive

(24 CE Hours)

The Clinical 2 builds on the concepts and practices from those explored during the Clinical 1, developing a deepening and refining of understanding and practice of the WholeBody View’s technical approach. The Clinical 2 Intensive additionally focuses on the following: further exploration and development of safe and effective hand use: hands as sensory organs. Appropriate hand use leads to less stress, greater therapeutic effectiveness, and therapist self care. Mastery of these techniques enables the practitioner to engage the client both locally and globally, simultaneously. The results are a profound therapeutic offering. Why do we all seem to experience similar injuries in the same areas of the body? 1- Segmenting vs. Whole Body Movement (Demonstration & Interactive Group Discussion) Students to speak to those injuries and conditions they are seeing in their practice as well as their own bodies. What are the possibilities and limitations therapeutically of bodywork therapy? 2- The Human body is brilliant at compensating both to our benefit and to the detriment of our well being. (Interactive Discussion & Demonstration) What is the process for integrating more efficient movement? 3- Functional Movement& Balance Protocols: Upper extremities, shoulder girdle and neck. (Demonstration & Self-Care Practice) How is bolstering our clients different for a WBV session? 4- WBV Brain Mapping Techniques: Basic hands-on flow through in the prone position including proper bolstering. (Demonstration & Student Practice Session) 5- Two Supervised Practice Days All concepts, material and techniques will be reviewed and practiced during the two SPDs in order to develop additional skill. These sessions will be scheduled in the two months prior to each Clinical Intensive. The SPDs will be held virtually. This minimizes travel without compromising the individual student/ instructor attention, interaction, and effectiveness.

Clinical 4: A 3‐Day Live Intensive (24 CE Hours)

The Clinical 4 will introduce working in a side-lying position. This is helpful with those clients with significant restriction that are unable to be comfortable either in a prone or supine position. Clinical 4 focuses on the following: What are the therapeutic possibilities with more serious pathologies? 1- Transforming your practice to include working with those experiencing significant disorder, dysfunction and chronic pain? (Interactive Discussion/ Demonstration & Practice) If I could only feel my own hands-on work? 2- Self Care Movement Routines as a self check-in and practice for developing additional technique. (Interactive Discussion & Practice)  What does it take to break away from a routine during sessions? 3- WBV Brain Mapping Techniques: A Complete hands-on flow through session in the supine, prone, & side-lying positions. The importance of being present during your sessions. (Student Practice Sessions) 4- Two Supervised Practice Days All concepts, material and techniques will be reviewed and practiced during the two SPDs in order to develop additional skill. These sessions will be scheduled in the two months prior to the each Clinical Intensive. The SPDs will be held virtually. This minimizes travel without compromising the individual student/ instructor attention, interaction, and effectiveness.

Clinical 6: A 3‐Day Live Intensive

(24 CE Hours)

The Clinical 6 will be a review of where each student is with their proficiency. Each student will address those growing edges during their trade/practice sessions and solicit feedback from their partners. There will be additional technique integrated as student capacity and ability expands. Clinical 6 focuses on the following: What have you been experiencing during your practice sessions ? What are your growing edges? 1- How do we redevelop our practice into something? Getting as many people on the table as possible. Not shying any from serious pathologies. Students to speak to their practice and receiving experiences along with client feedback. (Interactive Discussion) How do we help our clients take better care of themselves? 2- Functional Movement& Balance Protocols: Guiding our clients in self care movement protocols. (Demonstration & Client Self-Care Practice) How far has my development come from Clinical 1 to now? 3- WBV Brain Mapping Techniques: A complete hands-on flowthrough session in the supine & prone positions. (Demonstration & Student Practice Session)
